On June 23rd to June 25th the 6th Annual RockFire event, a unique combination of art, music and fire to celebrate Barre's granite heritage will be held at the Vermont Granite Museum on the evening of the 23rd, and a concert,performances and firewalk will be on the following Saturday evening at Millstone Hill, an incredible mix of forest, walking and riding trails, and granite sculptures among old quarry sites.
All the favorite features of the Saturday night FireWalk including Bow Thayer, the Iron Guild and the Pyrophone Fire Organ will be returning in 2017. In collaboration with The Granite Museum of Vermont, will again host RockFire activities at the Museum’s complex in Barre on Friday, June 23. Friday night’s event is designed to be more family friendly, and will include a one-mile long fire lit path leading to 10 stages featuring actors reenacting aspects of Barre’s colorful and dynamic history.
RockFire has been honored with the prestigious title of Vermont’s Top Ten Events, for the third year in a row, awarded by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce.
